Case Study

Trials and Tribulations

STUDIO

  • Booked multiple studios, and would be required to go longer during set. Requested for time from the studio in an effective manner.
  • One stunt left minor damage at the studio and required reconfiguration of the budget.

Takeaways

  • Experience working with an Influencer and non-union work.
  • Flexibility with wearing multiple hats with a solutions based mindset.
  • Working with a close-knit team.
  • Creative collaboration and problem solving throughout the process.
  • Taking on a lead role.
  • Worked with finding studio spaces, budgets, drone licenses, vfx licenses, and stunt coordinators.
Working with this crew was lots of fun and productive at the same time. The director's mission is to continue working on films and expanding the Asian-American experience in the Toronto area. This mission felt in alignment with my own and made my work so fulfilling.

Outcome:

  • Film released by end of March 2024.
  • Coordinated a private live screening party with over 120 participants.
